🏒 Game of the Day: Chicago Blackhawks vs. Florida Panthers
7:30 PM ET | TNT / truTV / HBO Max (US) · Amerant Bank Arena, Sunrise
Bedard, 21, has 79 career goals and 213 points in 228 games. One more goal and he becomes only the sixth Blackhawk to score 80 before turning 22. He leads Chicago with 10 points in nine games since missing the first six of the season after shoulder surgery in July. The Blackhawks are 4-10-1.
Florida, 8-5-2 after Monday’s loss to Detroit, has its own milestones in play. Sam Reinhart has 197 goals with the Panthers, one behind Jonathan Huberdeau for second in franchise history behind Aleksander Barkov. Matthew Tkachuk has 21 points (four goals, 17 assists) and Brady Tkachuk 16, and their father, Keith, goes into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday.
Prediction: Bedard gets to 80, but Reinhart and Florida win.
San Jose Sharks vs. Los Angeles Kings
10:00 PM ET | TNT / truTV / HBO Max (US) · Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles
Celebrini has 194 points in 166 games and needs six for 200. At 20 years and 144 days, he can still become the fifth-youngest player to reach the mark, but he has to get there before San Jose hosts Nashville on Nov. 15 to beat Pierre Turgeon’s age. He has 16 points in 14 games this season. The Sharks are 7-8-1 after Monday’s loss to Calgary.
Prediction: Celebrini gets two points and San Jose wins the California rivalry game.
Ottawa Senators vs. Buffalo Sabres
7:30 PM ET | Prime (Canada) · MSG-B · KeyBank Center, Buffalo
Drake Batherson has 13 points during an eight-game point streak, and Tim Stutzle leads Ottawa with 21 points; the Senators, 9-6-1, finish a five-game road trip. Buffalo’s Thompson has five goals in his past two games, including a hat trick in a 7-6 win in Anaheim, and can make it three straight multigoal games. Only Alexander Mogilny (five) has had a longer such run in Sabres history. Buffalo is 7-4-3.
Prediction: Thompson scores again and Buffalo wins at home.
Calgary Flames vs. Seattle Kraken
10:00 PM ET | Prime Video · KONG · Sportsnet West (Canada) · Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle
Calgary, which edged San Jose on Monday, visits a Seattle team that sits in the top three of the Pacific Division.
Prediction: Seattle wins a low-scoring game.
