🏒 Game of the Day: New Jersey Devils vs. Vegas Golden Knights

6:00 PM ET | SN+ (Canada) · Scripps · MSGSN · T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas

Hellebuyck stopped 17 of 18 shots in a 5-1 win in Dallas in his Devils debut on Tuesday and is likely to make his second start in the finale of a three-game trip. New Jersey is 8-5-0 after its four-game winning streak ended with a 5-2 loss in Colorado on Wednesday. Captain Nico Hischier is three points from 500, which would make him the sixth player in Devils history to get there.

Vegas, 9-4-1, will look to Marner, who can stretch his point streak to nine games. He has 11 points in his past eight and a point in 10 of 12 games this season, after missing two games for the birth of his son, Bennett, on Oct. 22.

Prediction: Marner extends the streak, but Hellebuyck wins again.

Winnipeg Jets vs. Florida Panthers

7:00 PM ET | TSN3 / TVA Sports (Canada) · Scripps · Amerant Bank Arena, Sunrise

Matthew and Brady Tkachuk have combined for 29 points in Florida’s past seven games, and the Panthers are 5-2-0 in that span. Matthew and defenseman Seth Jones could become only the ninth pair of teammates in NHL history with 15 assists each in one October. Florida, 7-4-2, opens a three-game homestand after playing 10 of its first 13 on the road. Winnipeg has lost seven straight (0-5-2), including a 5-1 home loss to Florida on Tuesday, and Mark Scheifele needs one power-play goal to tie Paul MacLean for third in franchise history.

Prediction: The Tkachuks stay hot and Winnipeg’s slide continues.

Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames

8:00 PM ET | SN360 / Sportsnet West (Canada) · Prime Video · KONG · Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary

Berkly Catton, 20, has six points during a five-game point streak and 10 in 13 games this season. Seattle, 8-4-1, has won three of four and is third in the Pacific with 17 points. Calgary’s four-game winning streak ended with a 4-0 loss in Edmonton on Wednesday; the Flames are 5-7-0.

Prediction: Calgary bounces back at home in a close game.
